Vancouver Summer Camp – City Information

Wynchemna’s summer camp is based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Vancouver is a beautiful city ranked by the United Nations as the most desirable city to live in. The camp is run from the University of British Columbia campus which offers students of the program unique access to incredible facilities and resources that come with one of Canada’s best universities.

Weather in Vancouver:

Generally speaking, the weather is sunny in Vancouver during the summer, although the Vancouver is a coastal city and can be very wet too. Be sure to bring an umbrella. Summer temperatures range from 25-30C.

Location:

Vancouver – Wynchemna’s ideal location – is a modern, clean, attractive, friendly, safe city that offers of an incredible range of recreational activities.  Located in on the west coast of Canada, Vancouver has one of the most amazing skylines that reaches out into the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf Islands to the west and to the start of the Coast Mountain range.  15 minutes from the city center, past the famous Lions Gate Bridge is the start of the Sea to Sky highway that leads to Squamish and Whistler, only a short 60 to 90 minute drive along one of the most beautiful stretches of highway anywhere in the world.  Vancouver is also only an hour and a half ferry ride from Vancouver Island and the historic capital Victoria.
